Kamala Beach

If you are looking to spend most of the time on the beach enjoying the sea, this is a very good place to be. Beach is quite nice and is not too crowded. Sea floor is nice and sandy. In the afternoons the water spectacularly recedes leaving a blanket of rocks at the left end of the beach for local fishing and a beautiful swimming area at the right end of the beach.

Kamala Beach and village are much more laid back than the communities farther to the south of Phuket Island. This relaxed atmosphere makes Kamala the perfect place for couples and families to have a peaceful holiday far from the madding crowds found farther south. Having said that however, Kamala is just over the mountain, only about 10 minutes from the world renowned shopping and nightlife at Patong Beach.

TRANSPORTATION
Khun Kanda offers a variety of options to help you get around Phuket with ease. The staff here can arrange motorbike or bicycle rentals, as well as taxi services which can take you to the airport or wherever else you might like to go on the island. There is also a local bus stop very close to Baan Kanda...it is an easy and cheap(albeit slow) option for getting around.
